The Steel City derby is one of the biggest on the pitch, but how do their pint prices compare?
The Steel City Derby between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday is one of the fiercest in English football.
Obviously, the main battle takes place on the pitch. But all great rival fans look to get one up on each other in any way, shape or form, whether that's through history, how large their attendance is and even results in other games.
Internally, however, there must be a clear rivalry surrounding the hospitality at the respective grounds. With both Sheffield sides playing their trade in the Championship currently, the level on the pitch and the quality of opponents are pretty similar.
So, if any new football fans find themselves in Sheffield and want to support one of the teams, the main draw will be how good the matchday experience is, and for those who like to indulge in an alcoholic beverage, how much it would cost to have a drink at the game.
Football League World has looked to see how much the cost of a pint at Bramall Lane compares to one at Hillsborough.
According to Football Ground Guide, the cheapest pint at Hillsborough will set you back £3.50, which actually placed the Owls in the top four cheapest pint prices in the Championship last season.
This would be the cheapest pint at the ground, so ultimately that depends on what you like to drink at games.
Wednesday implemented a new self-serve EBar system at Hillsborough in April in a way to reduce queues in the South Stand, North Stand and the Kop. There is, through images of the new machines, an indication of how much a pint of Carling or Guinness costs at the ground - with the option to buy double, triple, or quadruple pint pitchers.
A pint of Carling through the new machine costs £5.25, which perhaps ranks quite high, but when taking into account stadium inflation, you'd likely be expected to pay that in some places regardless.
Football Ground Guide also states that the cheapest pint at Sheffield United stands at £3.50, but various early bird offers reduce that to £3 an hour before the game.
This offer entitles fans to a pint and a pie for £5.50 and a pint for £3 up to an hour before the game begins to try and entice fans to get to Bramall Lane early and build up the atmosphere well before kick-off.
As is the case at Wednesday though, there are likely to be other drink options which cost fans a couple of quid more, but when it comes to the cheapest pint, the two tie when it comes to buying one during the game.
If you can get yourself to Bramall Lane early, though, you'll enjoy a 50p benefit to that of Hillsborough as you gear up to enjoy the game.
