Pep Guardiola takes charge of 1000th game in management as rejuvenated Reds visit the Etihad
After a dip in form which saw Arne Slot’s side win just once in a seven-match run, Liverpool seem to be clicking back into gear.
They have now won two in a row, beating Aston Villa in the Premier League before dispatching Real Madrid 1-0 in the Champions League.
As they look to spoil the party on Pep Guardiola’s 1000th game in management, Liverpool will likely have to make do without Alexander Isak from the start.
The £125million summer signing has been out for almost three weeks with a groin issue and returned to full team training this week, but is likely to have to make do with a place on the bench.
Man City are looking good after a slow start to the season. They barely broke a sweat in beating Borussia Dortmund 4-1 in midweek, their sixth win in their last seven games across all competitions
Both clubs will be out to take advantage of Arsenal’s slip-up at Sunderland on Saturday.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports. Coverage starts at 4pm GMT on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR ahead of kick-off at 4.30pm.
Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Sky Go app.
