Direct qualification for the 2027 tournament in Brazil is still a possibility, and Ward's charges are all but guaranteed a seeded play-off spot.

Anna Tamminen and Oona Sevenius

The United pair have both been called up to the Finland squad for their FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers against Slovakia and Portugal next month.

Helmarit travel to Nitra to face Slovakia on Friday 5 June in their penultimate Group B3 clash at the Štadión pod Zoborom [kick-off 3pm BST] before hosting Portugal four days later at the Tammelan Stadion in Tampere [kick-off 6pm BST].

Kaitlyn Torpey

Torpey has been named in the Australia squad for their friendly double-header against Mexico in June.

The Matildas play their first game on Saturday 6 June at the McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle [kick-off 7.15pm AEST] before taking on the same opponents on Tuesday 9 June at the CommBank Stadium in Sydney [kick-off 7pm AEST].

Freya Gregory

The 23-year-old has been called up to the Scotland squad for their FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying double-header against Israel.

Scotland, who sit top of Group B4, travel to Hungary as they look to continue their unbeaten qualification campaign as well as gaining promotion to League A of the UEFA Women's Nations League.

After facing Israel on Saturday 5 June [kick-off 5pm BST], Melissa Andreatta's side will go head-to-head with the same opponents four days later [kick-off 6pm BST].

Both matches will take place at the Bozsik Aréna in Budapest.
