Jimenez penalty secures vital win for Fulham over Forest | OneFootball

Fulham got their Premier League campaign back on track with a narrow but crucial 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage on Monday, courtesy of a first-half penalty from Raul Jimenez.

The game was cagey in the opening stages, with few clear-cut chances. Forest’s Sasa Lukic curled a low effort wide from the edge of the box in the 39th minute, while Fulham’s Jimenez saw a near-post header glance the side netting as the hosts looked to break the deadlock.

On the stroke of half-time, Kevin was clipped in the Forest area by Douglas Luiz, and Jimenez stepped up to calmly send John Victor the wrong way from the spot, giving the Cottagers a vital 1-0 lead heading into the break.
