With relegation confirmed for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley, both clubs have turned to summer rebuilding, and some players are looking to move on.
According to Leeds Live, Uruguay international Santiago Bueno is expected to leave Wolves and has been linked with Leeds United. Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Brentford have also made their interest known, with Wolves ready to listen to offers as they plan for next season.
He is not expected to see his future in the English second tier and would prefer to remain in the Premier League or move to a leading European division.
Leeds already have Pascal Struijk, Joe Rodon and last summer’s signing Jaka Bijol at centre-back, yet intend to strengthen across the squad. Adding the former Barcelona youth player would aid that plan.
Bueno, 27, has two years left on his Wolves contract.
He is set to head to the World Cup this summer, so no move is expected before the tournament concludes.
