In a decisive match for the National Futsal League (LNF), Corinthians defeated their great rival Magnus Sorocaba and took the lead in the race for a semifinal spot in the competition. The standout player was Lusinho, who scored two goals and was praised by idol Deives after the match.

“Man, it's very important, right? Always. First victory, but scoring, helping the team in some way, is very important. But thank God, give all the honor and glory to Him, without Him this wouldn't be happening. But nothing is decided, right, man? We won here, played a great game, but nothing is decided. We are going to Sorocaba to seek victory so that we can qualify”, said Luisinho after the match.

At just 22 years old, he is one of the main prospects for the future of Corinthians, which will lose Deives at the end of this season. It's Luisinho's seventh season at Parque São Jorge, and his contract runs until the end of this year.

“I am grateful to Corinthians, right? I arrived in 2019, this is my seventh season. As I joke with the guys, I really feel at home, right? The club that really raised me, right? Both as a player and as a person. So, I am very grateful to Corinthians. I am a Corinthians fan, so it's an inexplicable feeling to wear the jersey of the team you support“, said the winger.

With the result, Corinthians can just draw in the return match to secure qualification for the next phase. For this, they will have to face Magnus in Sorocaba, which is also expected to have a full house for the decisive classic of the biggest national futsal competition.

“When we wear the Corinthians jersey, it's an inexplicable feeling, right man? Especially with the gymnasium here packed. Thank the Faithful for showing up and invite them to… We are going to Sorocaba to seek victory to qualify”, Luisinho concluded.

The decisive qualifying match takes place next Tuesday (11), at Arena Sorocaba, home of Magnus Futsal. According to the regulations, a draw is enough to qualify Corinthians for the semifinals, but a loss would take the match to overtime, requiring a victory from Timão in extra time.
