Magnus legend praises Corinthians fans in Paulista Futsal final opener

Corinthians hosted Magnus last Tuesday night (2) at the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium for the first leg of the São Paulo Futsal Championship final and was defeated by a score of 3 x 2. Deives and Marlon scored the goals for the Alvinegro, who reacted too late in the match.

Despite the defeat, more than six thousand Corinthians fans present at Parque São Jorge continued to support throughout the classic, which impressed Magnus' fixed player and idol, Rodrigo Capita, who praised the noise made by the Fiel, especially after the second goal was scored.

“I've been playing on this court for about 20 years. Today, when Corinthians made it 3 to 2, it was the loudest noise I've ever heard in a gymnasium. It's not because I won that I'm saying this. It was a great game! Today is a record for attendance, for everything. What Corinthians did here is something I've never seen before. Great game of futsal. Great game! Corinthians has every chance to go to Sorocaba and win as well. That's futsal!”, he stated in a video published on his social media.

In the current season, Corinthians and Magnus also faced each other in the quarterfinals of the National Futsal League (LNF), and the Alvinegro ended up qualifying at Arena Sorocaba after a 2 x 1 comeback victory in overtime. In the first leg, Corinthians had won 4 x 2 and, in the return, was defeated 5 x 3.

In the São Paulo Championship, both teams will face each other again next Saturday (6), at 11 am (Brasília time), at Arena Sorocaba, for the second leg of the state final.

Cristian, former midfielder, was present at the classic between Corinthians and Magnus

The former midfielder Cristian, who had two stints at Corinthians (2008-2009 and 2015-2016), was present at the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium to watch the match. In total, he scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in 100 matches (79 as a starter) wearing the Corinthians jersey, achieving 63 victories, 25 draws, and 12 defeats – a 71.3% success rate.
