It looks like Arsenal will win the Premier League this year, and while they’re a good side, their main ability is their consistency.

They’ve been able to change their team around and keep results the same, something everyone else is struggling with. On ESPN, pundit Stevie Nicol bemoaned the patterns of rotations that are stopping top teams racking up wins like Man City used to.

Chelsea’s changes last night were blamed for their defeat to Leeds, some rotation and some enforced, and Enzo Maresca was criticised.

Chelsea not good enough to afford rotation says pundit

“No team is going to put a run of 12, 13 wins together like City did in the last few years when you keep continually changing the team every time it steps on the field,” the former Liverpool man said.

“We were talking about the standards Chelsea set against Arsenal, but then they walk on the pitch with changes up front, changes in the middle and changes at the back.

“How are you expected to keep your standards up when you’re making all these changes? It makes no sense at all… the way you’re doing things now, guess what, it’s not working.”

Mark Ogden said he was “rotating too much,” and pointed out that the changes to the back four had hurt the Blues.

One Chelsea player who really disappointed in the game yesterday was Enzo Fernandez – he simply has to do better in games like this where we need him to step up and deliver.

Chelsea have been linked with yet another talented young wonderkid – in this case a brilliant teenage talent from Burkina Faso who is still 16 but is being chased by a number of top teams.
