The first and senior team have continued to be injected with young talent over the last few months.

The summer saw the arrival of young talents such as Diego Leon, Benjamin Sesko and Senne Lammens, all under 23-years-old.

Golden Boy List

The club’s official website reports that “Manchester United have three representatives in the top 100 for the annual Golden Boy award.”

The site continues to explain that “Ayden Heaven, Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro are all included, with the award’s Benchmark Index helping rank footballers born on or after 1 January 2005.”

In addition, “a number of metrics are factored in for the Europe-wide accolade, such as sporting performance, playing time and club strength.”

Leny Yoro joint 13th

The French teenager has been a revelation since joining the club and in spite of his young age, is very much a nailed on starter for Ruben Amorim.

He has played 36 matches for the club, scoring one goal in the process.

Yoro has impressed fans with his composure, skill and ability to read the game at just 19-years-old.

Kobbie Mainoo 36th

There has been much made of the United academy graduate’s future, as he has struggled to nail down a starting spot.

He has only began one match this season, the Carabao Cup loss to Grimsby Town.

Nonetheless, the England international is still highly valued at the club and United fans will hope he can soon get his chance to shine on a consistent basis in the starting line-up.

Ayden Heaven 89th

The former Arsenal defender impressed when he was thrown into the deep end last season and put in impressive performances against Arsenal and Fulham in the league and cup.

The 18-year-old has struggled for game time this season so far but with the poor form of Luke Shaw, he may soon get his chance to secure a spot in the first eleven.
