Manchester City’s Rayan Cherki could return to face Monaco | OneFootball

Rayan Cherki (22) could return to face AS Monaco next Wednesday, according to a report from L’Équipe. The France international has been injured since the second game of the Premier League season.

As per the publication, the former Olympique Lyonnais international’s return to first-team training is just a matter of days. The playmaker could be in the matchday squad to face Brentford on 5th October, but it is even possible that he could be in the squad to face AS Monaco on Wednesday.

He has played just 71 minutes of football this season, netting once, before then suffering a hamstring injury. However, Cherki had a medical test at the start of the week, which showed that the injury had fully healed.

His return for Manchester City, perhaps in time for a crucial UEFA Champions League clash, could allow him to return to the France squad, after he missed the most recent international break.
