Manuel Ugarte appears to be on the verge of joining Manchester United and bolstering their midfield. However, after a one-and-done season with Paris Saint-Germain, a report revealed how the Uruguayan feels amid his looming departure.

Ugarte made 37 appearances across all competitions for the reigning Ligue 1 champions last season, recording three assists. The PSG midfielder began the first half of the campaign playing well and it appeared that the club had found that hound in the midfield.

Still, his minutes fell off in the second half as he was used more as a rotational player rather than a starter. As a result, when the matches became more meaningful, it was clear that manager Luis Enrique didn’t count on him.

L’Equipe reports that Ugarte feels his time at PSG is incomplete and that he could have had a more significant role. From the Parisians’ perspective, they’ll be at least recovering most of their investment when they secured the player last summer from Sporting Lisbon.

Multiple reports reveal that PSG will receive a fixed fee of €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons and a 10 percent sell-on clause as part of Ugarte’s transfer to Manchester United.
