Olympique de Marseille have announced in a press communiqué that forward Amine Gouiri (25) is set to undergo surgery on his right shoulder. The club have detailed that the decision to operate has been made after several dislocations in recent months, the latest occurring on international duty with Algeria in the last week.ouiri is expected to be sidelined for around three months while he completes his rehabilitation. In their statement, OM explained that the procedure aims to allow the former Lyon and Rennes striker to regain “full fitness and confidence” ahead of his return to competition.Gouiri has already featured in seven Ligue 1 matches so far this season, scoring during his latest outing with Les Phocéens just before the international break. The Algerian international is set to miss several key matches including three Champions League clashes – notably at home to Newcastle at the Stade Vélodrome next month.
