Matheus Pereira was confirmed as a Corinthians player on Friday. Moments before the announcement, his registration appeared on the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário, making him available to play.
According to Meu Timao, he also appeared in the Federação Paulista de Futebol system, meaning he is registered for the Paulistão.
Corinthians have 23 of 35 slots filled on List A, plus eight players on List B, which has no limit.
An academy graduate, Pereira joins on loan from Fortaleza until the end of 2026, with an option to buy. His career includes spells with Juventus, Empoli, Bordeaux II, Paraná, Juventus B, Dijon, Barcelona B and Eibar.
The 27-year-old is the club’s second confirmed signing. Centre-back Gabriel Paulista was the first, debuting in the defeat to Red Bull Bragantino. Right-back Pedro Milans and forward Kaio César are close to signing.
Corinthians face São Paulo at Neo Química Arena on Sunday at 16:00 in the third round of the Paulistão, where Pereira could make his debut.
