Carlos Roberto Auricchio, known as Nenê do Posto, has tendered his resignation as head of Corinthians’ academy, placing his position at the club’s disposal on Monday. According to Meu Timao, he is expected to formalise the decision with president Osmar Stabile later in the day.
The councillor stepped back from day-to-day academy management in October after personal issues and disagreements with youth executive Erasmo Damiani. No successor has yet been confirmed.
One flashpoint was the departure of former academy technical coordinator Robson Zimerman, confirmed on Monday morning. The likely replacement, 66-year-old Ricardo Drubscky, is Damiani’s pick and has Stabile’s backing as part of a wider reshuffle.
Nenê do Posto took charge in June last year after Stabile assumed the presidency following the removal of Augusto Melo. After Damiani’s arrival, his influence waned, with limited input on signings and new processes.
During his tenure he oversaw coaching changes in the under-20 and under-17, hiring William Batista and Guilherme Azevedo respectively. He also led player releases across several age groups and sought to assist Corinthians’ return after expulsion from the Movimento de Clubes Formadores do Futebol Brasileiro.
The under-20s opened 2026 with elimination in the second phase of the Copa do São Paulo de Futebol Júnior by Guarani. The main youth calendar starts in February with the Brasileirão Sub-20.
