Paris Saint-Germain have received a helping hand from the LFP and from FC Nantes ahead of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 meeting with Chelsea.

Having beaten AS Monaco in their play-off, PSG have been drawn against Chelsea in the next round. Between the two legs, the first of which takes place at the Parc des Princes on 11th March, before the return at Stamford Bridge on the 17th, the reigning European champions had been scheduled to face Nantes.

However, PSG requested that the game be postponed in order to aid their preparation for the Chelsea game. Nantes agreed to this and the LFP have now ratified the decision. The LFP have announced that the Ligue 1 game will now take place during the week of 20th April.

It was a fixture between the pair last season that was also postponed due to PSG’s UCL game against Aston Villa.
