Paul Pogba returns to Monaco squad for Marseille clash

Paul Pogba has been named in Monaco’s squad to face Marseille on Sunday, the Ligue 1 fixture that closes matchday 28.

Le Progres reports that the 2018 World Cup winner features in Sébastien Pocognoli’s group for the game.

It is four months to the day since his last Ligue 1 appearance, the midfielder having been sidelined by a calf injury. He returned during the international break in a friendly, in which he scored.

Signed last summer, the former Manchester United and Juventus player has made only three substitute appearances in Ligue 1, totalling 30 minutes.

With Monaco out of the Coupe de France and the Champions League, Pogba has up to seven matches left this season. He is under contract until June 2027.
