A founding member of the Premier League, the Blues have gone on to win the competition five times, adding to their sole previous top-flight title of 1954/55. Chelsea have also been crowned Champions League winners on two occasions, most recently in the 2020/21 campaign.

Last season:

Under former Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca, the West London outfit qualified for the Champions League with victory over Nottingham Forest on the last day, ultimately sealing a fourth-place finish in the Premier League. More success on the continental front would follow, as the Blues lifted the Europa Conference League trophy after beating Real Betis in the final.

One to watch:

In his second season at the club following a move from Manchester City, England attacking midfielder Cole Palmer continued to excel for the Blues last term, scoring 15 goals in all competitions and recording 12 assists. Behind against Real Betis in the Conference League final, it was the creativity of the 23-year-old that dragged his side back into the encounter.
