Paris Saint-Germain will welcome Lens to the Parc des Princes this Sunday for an important Ligue 1 clash. Both teams are eager to build on their strong starts to the season, with PSG leading the table and Lens comfortably placed in sixth.
PSG will be without their key forward Ousmane Dembele, who is sidelined for approximately six weeks due to a hamstring injury he picked up while representing France.
The 28-year-old had to leave the pitch early during France’s 2-0 victory over Ukraine and is also set to miss the crucial upcoming match against Barcelona in October. Additionally, Desire Doue will be out for about four weeks with a calf injury sustained in the same fixture.
In light of these losses, Goncalo Ramos and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are expected to step up and fill the gaps left by Dembele and Doue in the starting lineup. PSG’s head coach, Luis Enrique, has voiced his worries over the injuries sustained during international duty. The club lodged an official complaint with the French Football Federation in relation to player safety.
PSG Predicted XI: Chevalier; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Vitinha, Ruiz, Neves; Barcola, Kvaratskhelia, Ramos.
Sunday at 4:15pm BST.
For fans in the UK, the game will be broadcast on beIN SPORTS 1.
