Raphinha explains new-look Lamine Yamal celebration after Barcelona 2-0 Osasuna | OneFootball

Barcelona star Raphinha has provided an insight into the new-look celebration made use of by he and teammate Lamine Yamal in the club’s latest outing.

Wide-man Raphinha is for his part of course fresh off a match-winning display on Saturday.

After Barcelona welcomed Osasuna to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash, the Brazilian netted both goals in a 2-0 triumph.

And it was in the aftermath of the 2nd that Raphinha joined forces with Lamine Yamal to unveil a head-turning celebration.

The pair first dapped up, before raising one another’s hands above their heads, and pointing in opposite directions:

Speaking to the media post-match, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the celebration was put to Raphinha himself.

Asked if the gesture has a specific meaning, the former Leeds United man explained:

“No, honestly. We’ve been doing this move for a while, and we often greet each other this way, and in the end we managed to seal the match.”
