Real Sociedad handed timely injury boost before Athletic Club showdown | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad were on Wednesday afforded some welcome positive news on the personnel front.

This came courtesy of the return of attacking standout Takefusa Kubo to group training in San Sebastian.

Wide-man Kubo has for his part not featured for Real Sociedad since the far side of the October international break.

As much comes after the Japanese suffered an ankle injury whilst away with his country.

A crucial figure in La Real’s attack, his absence has in turn been sorely felt by Sergio Francisco and his staff.

All associated with the Basques will therefore no doubt be delighted to learn of developments at the club’s training ground on Wednesday.

As confirmed by Mundo Deportivo, Kubo took full part in group training alongside his teammates this morning, finishing the session without any notable issues.

The 24-year-old is therefore expected to be available for selection for this weekend’s derby showdown between Real Sociedad and arch rivals Athletic Club.
