Real Sociedad have entered the summer window without a deal sealed for arrivals or departures, beyond informing Caleta-Car and Wesley that their purchase clauses will not be exercised. According to AS, the club plan to bring in at least three players, with defence prioritised and a wide forward able to play centrally for Matarazzo’s system.
Exits are thought to be taking shape for striker Carlos Fernández, who spent last season on loan at Mirandés, along with Brais Méndez, Karrikaburu and Zakharyan. Javi López will be assessed to compete with Aihen Muñoz, whose contract runs to 2027 and who could also leave Zubieta, while Sergio Gómez holds the left-side role.
Jon Pacheco returns from a loan at Alavés, and the future of Goti, recalled from Córdoba, remains to be decided. From Sanse, Ochieng will step up, and staff will gauge the viability of midfielder Mikel Rodríguez and centre-back Luken Beitia during pre-season.
On the market front, names to have emerged include Lautaro Rivero for the back line and the Bosnian Kolasinac, with further rumours such as Asensio or Mastantuono.
Sporting director Erik Bretos has said he would like Matarazzo to start with a settled squad, though a summer World Cup typically slows business. In principle, Álex Remiro, contracted until 2027, stays to battle for the gloves with Marrero despite interest from Aston Villa or Napoli.
