Chelsea are currently seen as the front runners to sign Aston Villa and England star Morgan Rogers according to reports.
The Blues were strongly linked with Rogers throughout the summer, but a move never materialised for the 23-year-old.
Chelsea ended up signing five attackers as their front line underwent a major revamp with Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Buonanotte all arriving.
The summer window hasn’t long been closed, but already rumours are starting to appear ahead of January and even next summer.
Chelsea have been active in the transfer window under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership and that doesn’t seem like changing any time soon.

Whether the Blues are active in January remains to be seen, but according to Caught Offside they are the front runners for Rogers, who is thought to be valued at around £80m.
The report states Chelsea have identified Rogers as a key target for their squad building in 2026, and their interest isn’t just short term with the club also factoring in his long term development.
Rogers was named Premier League Young Player of the Season last season, but has had a mixed start to the new campaign.
The Villa man has yet to score in ten appearances in all competitions, but has registered two assists, with Unai Emery’s side now starting to find some form.
It’s not just Rogers, Chelsea have also been linked with Juventus star Kenan Yildiz as another possible attacking reinforcement.

Quite where all these players are going to fit in is unclear, whilst the Blues also have Geovany Quenda and Emanuel Emegha arriving next summer.
Player sales would have to take place to create space in the squad, but it’s still difficult to see at this stage how a move for Rogers or Yildiz makes sense.
