Dani Carvajal’s injury comes as a massive blow not only for Real Madrid but for the Spanish national team for the player was a mainstay in both sides. His last participation came in El Clasico and he is now not expected to feature again this year.
While Carvajal did not feature prominently in the game against Barcelona, he did steal the limelight for openly telling Lamine Yamal after the game that he talks too much – an interaction that has largely polarised the football fanbase globally.
The friction between the Real Madrid captain and the Barcelona phenom appeared to concern the Spanish national team , especially given that the duo will have to work in tandem for La Roja to have a chance in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Facing the media in a recent event, the RFEF president Rafael Louzan was quizzed about how the Yamal-Carvajal clash would affect the national team dynamics – a topic of serious importance with the FIFA World Cup just around the corner.
The official, however, remained calm and reassured that it would have no implications on La Roja’s plans or dressing room and that both players would keep what happened in the past behind them.

“I’m not one for drama. It was a heated moment and that’s where it will stay. They are two players we need very much and two icons of world football.”
Louzan then spoke on how he had not yet had a chance to discuss the situation with either Luis de la Fuente so far, saying
“I have not been able to talk to him. I’ll be with him today. It’s football stuff.”
Finally, the RFEF president spoke out on how the direct relationship between Barcelona and Real Madrid gave them confidence that the situation would be diffused and would not reach the dressing room of the national team.
“We are very calm because there is a direct relationship with the clubs. We take great care of that.”
“We are aware that the players belong to the clubs. Don’t worry, we have very important challenges ahead,” he added.
