The Giallorossi coach is considering whether to keep Ziolkowski, despite his disappointing performance against Atalanta, or opt to move Cristante back into the defensive line.

If he chooses to play the midfielder, Celik should remain on the right, with Wesley on the right flank and Tsimikas on the left.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ghilardi appears to be the favorite to fill the center back spot, but Rensch remains a strong contender.

The hottest name to strengthen the defense is Dragusin, but alternatives such as Vavro, formerly of Lazio and now at Wolfsburg, and Fenerbahçe’s Oosterwolde are also being considered.

The 2001-born Dutch defender is a key figure under Italian manager Domenico Tedesco and has played 90 minutes in all of the Turkish club’s recent matches.

Sporting Director Massara is expediting the process to strengthen the squad as quickly as possible in view of the many upcoming fixtures awaiting the Giallorossi in the coming days: immediately following the away match in Lecce, the Giallorossi will play their home match on Saturday, January 10th against Grosso’s Sassuolo.
