Rui Costa ‘to insist on’ €15m for Benfica winger Schjelderup | OneFootball

Rui Costa has reiterated a hard line on Andreas Schjelderup’s future, with Benfica unimpressed by Club Brugge’s opening proposal and prioritising their own terms before any exit.

According to A Bola, Benfica want about €15m for the Norway winger and also intend to keep a percentage of any future sale.

The report said Brugge first offered €8m, with add-ons potentially taking it to €11m or €12m. There have been claims of a verbal agreement on personal terms between Schjelderup and the Belgian club.

Schjelderup is aiming for more minutes in the second half of the season, a factor in talks.

This season he has played 24 matches for Benfica, 12 in Liga Portugal Betclic, seven in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga, totalling 1,116 minutes. He has scored two goals and made three assists, and is valued at €14m.
