Santos name fresh faces for Red Bull Bragantino clash | OneFootball

Santos have named a refreshed squad for Sunday’s meeting with Red Bull Bragantino at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo, with changes prompted by injuries and fatigue. According to Diario Do Peixe, the list brings several returns and notable omissions.

Centre-back João Basso, right-back JP Chermont and forward Rafael Freitas are included, with Tomás Rincón and Caballero also back after missing the derby with Corinthians. Alexis Duarte and Billal Brahimi are left out.

Igor Vinícius is not selected due to muscle fatigue. Juan Pablo Vojvoda is also without Álvaro Barreal, who sustained a minor hip trauma in Saturday’s session at CT Rei Pelé, and Thaciano, diagnosed with a muscle oedema and not travelling.

Gabriel Bontempo, Gustavo Henrique and Tiquinho Soares remain in the medical department. Neymar continues his recovery after arthroscopy on his left knee at the end of December, working internally with an expectation of returning to the pitch in early February.

The travelling group also includes Gabriel Brazão, Diógenes, João Pedro, Mayke, Escobar, Vini Lira, Adonis Frías, Zé Ivaldo, Luan Peres, João Schmidt, Willian Arão, Gabriel Menino, Zé Rafael, Rollheiser, Miguelito, Gabriel Barbosa, Lautaro Díaz, Robinho Jr and Mateus Xavier.
