Two players boasting icon status at La Liga giants Real Madrid on Friday sent messages the way of current Blancos star Kylian Mbappé.

This comes fresh off the Frenchman receiving his Golden Boot award.

After racking up 31 La Liga goals in his debut campaign in Spanish football last time out, frontman Mbappé was earlier today at long last handed his Golden Boot trophy.

The 26-year-old in turn took to social media, to celebrate his achievement.

And quick to send a message of congratulations Mbappé’s way through the comments section was Real Madrid legend and former teammate Luka Modrić:

Mbappé will for his part be hopeful of keeping alive what has been a prolific opening to the new La Liga campaign tomorrow evening.

Ahead of Real Madrid playing host to Valencia on Saturday, the explosive attacker has racked up 11 goals in 10 league appearances this term.
