Spanish goalkeeper Josep Martínez, who plays for Inter Milan, is at the center of an investigation following a fatal accident that occurred Tuesday morning in Italy.

According to local media, the 27-year-old player was driving his car near Inter's training center in Fenegro when he struck an 81-year-old man in an electric wheelchair. Emergency services arrived quickly, but the victim died at the scene. Josep Martínez reportedly tried to help the man before firefighters arrived.
