Just hours after Lamine Yamal was ruled out, Spain has officially announced the replacement for Barcelona's young sensation.

This November, Lamine Yamal will not be playing for Spain as he did in October. The FC Barcelona winger underwent a radiofrequency procedure to treat his pubalgia, which will sideline him for an estimated seven to ten days. To fill the gap, La Roja has called up Jorge de Frutos, the right winger from Rayo Vallecano, who has tallied six goals and three assists in 16 matches this season.
"Luis de la Fuente has called up Jorge de Frutos, player of Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, to play the last two qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, where the Spanish national team will face Georgia in Tbilisi and Turkey in Seville," announced the Spanish squad.
