Spurs star causing “worry”, Thomas Frank transfer plan “an indication” of his future at the club

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank is reportedly worried about Brennan Johnson.

The Welsh International attacker has been impressive since joining the club from Nottingham Forest, but he can be quite inconsistent. Frank believes that the player has the quality to develop into a key player for Tottenham, but he needs to work on his consistency.

Brennan Johnson future in doubt

Graeme Bailey said: “Brennan Johnson is determined that he has a future at Spurs and can convince Thomas Frank that he can be a key player for him. We understand Frank likes Johnson and believes he is capable of playing at a high level but the consistency factor is a worry. “Like with the whole Spurs squad, Frank is getting to grips with how he sees it going forward, what work needs to be done. The fact Spurs are still in the market for another wide player may be an indication that Johnson has work to do to convince Frank that he has a long-term future.”

Can Johnson redeem himself?

Johnson scored the winning goal in the final of the UEFA Europa League for Tottenham, and there is no doubt that he has the quality to play for Spurs regularly. However, he will need to iron out the inconsistency issues in his game.

Tottenham are in desperate need of a reliable wide player, and Johnson could solve that problem if he manages to improve.
