In a recent report, Maghreb-Foot stated that Sunderland are among the clubs hoping to recruit Royal Charleroi SC midfielder Yassine Titraoui this summer. It has been mentioned that the Black Cats will have to compete with Hull City in the race to sign the Algerian talent this off-season.
Titraoui enjoyed a positive campaign at the Belgian club as he managed to put in a handful of impressive displays for them in the middle of the park. The 22-year-old did well to score five goals and secure three assists in 42 matches for Royal Charleroi last season in various competitions.
The Algerian sensation is currently among the best central midfielders in the Jupiler Pro League. Thus, it is no surprise that he has caught the attention of Sunderland this summer.
His current contract at the Belgian club will run out at the end of next season, which could open the door for the Black Cats to sign him on a cut-price deal in this transfer window.

Titraoui is a tough-tackling midfielder who can sense the danger well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is an accurate passer as well.
The Algerian talent can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from midfield. Titraoui is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also function as a defensive midfielder if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Black Cats manage to get him on board this summer.
We can expect Titraoui to bring more energy and dynamism to Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris’ midfield. He is good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at the Stadium of Light next season.
At 22, Titraoui has got a bright future ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Wearside club to pursue in this transfer window. All in all, Le Bris would be wise to move in for him this off-season.
