On five March 1995 Zeman’s side crushed Fiorentina 8-2, Casiraghi scoring four with Negro, Cravero, Boksic and Di Vaio adding one each. On six March 1994 Signori’s early goal and Giannini’s missed penalty decided a 1-0 derby, and on eight March 1998 Boksic and Nedved sealed a 2-0 win to complete an unprecedented fourth derby of that season.

On four March 1962, Lazio 0-0 Napoli was mired in controversy when Gianni Seghedoni’s free-kick, initially awarded, was cancelled after a linesman believed it had gone out, a hole later found in the net as referee Iginio Rigato held firm. TV showed the ball had crossed the line, but a replay appeal failed as RAI withheld footage and the CAF declined to view it, later echoed by Stefan Kiessling’s goal at Hoffenheim against Bayer Leverkusen in 2013.

Rosario Di Vincenzo, born in Genoa on 16 June 1941, died on four March 2026. The goalkeeper made 102 Lazio appearances across two promotions, played 55 Serie A and 194 Serie B games, lifted major honours with Inter and later coached at Napoli, Siena, Lazio, Palermo and Sampdoria.
