Mexico secured its second consecutive victory in the 2025 Women's U-17 World Cup in Morocco, defeating Cameroon 1-0 on Field 2 of the Mohammed VI Football Academy. With this result, the national team secured its place in the Round of 16 of the tournament, finishing second in Group B with 6 points.
Valeria Alvarado started as a starter and was a key player in the Tricolor's midfield, contributing her quality and ball handling. Coach Miguel Gamero left the Rojiblanca youth player on the field for the entire match, thus completing her third World Cup appearance.
Now, Mexico will have to wait until tomorrow to find out its opponent in the next round, which will be the second-place team in Group F, to be decided between Spain, Ivory Coast, and Colombia. The match will take place on Wednesday, October 29, on field 3 of the Mohammed VI Football Academy.
