Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen stormed off the pitch at full time after a game where his mistake helped turn a promising 2-2 into a disaster 5-2 defeat.
But colleagues including fellow goalkeeper Robert Sanchez persuaded him back onto the field to go and applaud the away fans, who had done a valiant job battling back against a hostile PSG atmosphere until Jorgensen’s howler turned things on their head.
We can understand he’s very upset, but just a couple of moments would be appreciated, and might make him feel better too:

Another clip seems to show captain Reece James telling him to go and speak to the away fans, and Jorgensen walking away:
Liam Rosenior said the keeper held his hands up in the dressing room afterwards:
“He held his hand up in the dressing room. Mistakes are painful and costly and this is one of those moments. What we have to do for Rob and Fil is look after each other. We have another tough game coming against Newcastle.”
Liam Rosenior refused to take the blame for using Jorgensen saying that “players make mistakes.” It’s true, but we could have told you who was going to make this mistake if you picked him today.
Rosenior has also noted his own failings in the game to some degree in terms of game management. He looked a little like a rabbit in the spotlight at times yesterday evening.
