Wolves have unveiled their 2026/27 home kit to mark the club’s 150th anniversary, following a fan vote on the shade of gold.
Rob Edwards’ side will play in the Championship next season after relegation. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the launch forms part of a historic campaign the club hopes will spark a return to the top flight.
Debate over the exact shade of gold prompted a collaboration with manufacturer SUDU and supporter groups. At a consultation evening, club historian Peter Crump outlined the heritage of three shortlisted options, rusty brown gold from the 1930s to 1950s, orangey gold from the 1970s to 1990s, and the brighter recent tone.
Nearly 10,000 supporters voted on the Wolves app, with orangey gold winning 47 per cent. Crump said the colour resonates across generations and suits an anniversary year, reflecting eras many fans associate most strongly with the club.
The Wolverhampton city coat of arms replaces the club badge on the shirt, returning for the first time in more than 30 years. It last appeared between 1993 and 1996 and also featured on the 1960 FA Cup final winning shirt.
A percentage from every home shirt sold will be donated to the Wolves Foundation.
Prices are £80 for the adult pro, £60 for the standard adult and £45 for junior. The kit goes on sale at 9am online and 10am in the club store on Friday, June 5.
