Wolves have launched their 2026/27 home kit to mark the club’s 150th anniversary, with fans selecting a retro shade of gold.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Rob Edwards’ side will play in the Championship next season after relegation, and the club hope to bounce back to the top flight during a landmark campaign.
Working with manufacturer SUDU and supporter groups, Wolves put the shirt colour to a public vote after a consultation led by club historian Peter Crump. Fans were offered three options, rusty brown gold from the 1930s to 1950s, orangey gold from the 1970s to 1990s, and the brighter recent shade.
Nearly 10,000 supporters voted on the club app, with orangey gold winning 47 per cent of the poll.
Crump said the chosen colour carries powerful memories of some of Wolves’ greatest years, and that its fan-led return for the 150th year links generations and reflects the club and city.
The Wolverhampton city coat of arms replaces the club badge on the shirt, its first appearance in more than 30 years. It last featured between 1993 and 1996 and was also worn in the 1960 FA Cup final win.
A percentage from each home shirt sale will go to the Wolves Foundation. Prices are £80 for the adult pro shirt, £60 for the standard adult, and £45 for junior sizes.
The kit goes on sale online from nine am and in the club store from 10 am on Friday, June 5.
