As has been the case for most part of its history, the current FC Barcelona team also has a lot of players that have been developed at their own youth academy, La Masia.

Players like Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, Alejandro Balde, Gavi, and Fermin Lopez, have all made the jump from the academy to the first team in recent years.

Meanwhile, there is also a lot of talent expected to make this jump in the future as well, and one player who is already in the process of getting accustomed to the first team dynamic is the young forward Pedro Fernandez, who was a part of the Blaugrana team that travelled to Asia for their preseason tour.

Despite his limited professional experience, Dro has already impressed with his vision, technical quality, and ability to influence games. His passing accuracy, intelligence, and link-up play have made him one of the standout prospects within La Masia, and his performances have not gone unnoticed outside Spain.

According to Fichajes, both Manchester City and Chelsea are closely monitoring his development. City, known for investing in emerging prospects, see Dro as a player who could thrive within their carefully structured development pathway.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have also been strengthening their youth setup in recent years and view the Spaniard as a talent who could eventually make the leap to the Premier League.

For Barcelona, retaining Dro Fernandez is seen as a priority. The club is eager to ensure its academy continues producing players capable of reinforcing the first team. However, the growing interest from England may force the Catalans into an early decision over his future.

As for Dro himself, he faces a career-defining choice. A move to the Premier League would expose him to new challenges, cultures, and styles of play, but remaining at Barcelona could provide a more secure route toward first-team football at the club that nurtured him.

The coming months will be decisive. With top European clubs circling, Barça, Dro Fernandez, and his entourage will need to carefully weigh their options, and it remains to be seen what course of action he wants to take for his future.
