Queens Park Rangers must enjoy a strong summer transfer window to enjoy a more successful Championship season next time around.

QPR displayed some promising signs in Julien Stephan's first season in English football, such as their 6-1 triumph over Portsmouth in March, but ultimately finished 15th in the second tier.

The West London side confirmed in early May that goalkeepers Paul Nardi and Ben Hamer, as well as midfielder Isaac Hayden, will leave Loftus Road when their contracts expire this summer.

Stephan's men will soon look to bolster their squad to ensure that they have stronger Championship play-off credentials next term.

Football League World have exclusively revealed that QPR have eyed a move for Stockport County star Adama Sidibeh alongside fellow second-tier clubs Bristol City and Swansea City.

Sidibeh was one of County's brighter sparks in their League One play-off final defeat to Bolton Wanderers, scoring the equaliser in an eventual 4-1 defeat.

FLW have now taken a look at two other players QPR should sign this summer.

Harry Amass

The R's' biggest problem during the 2025/26 Championship season was that they had a horrendous defensive record, with only rock-bottom Sheffield Wednesday conceding more goals.

With their defensive woes in mind, acquiring a new left-back has become a particular priority, as loan star Rhys Norrington-Davies has returned to his parent club, Sheffield United.

According to West London Sport, QPR are keen on Manchester United youngster Harry Amass, who has spent time on loan with both Wednesday and Norwich City this term.

Amass was a shining light for an otherwise poor Owls side in the first half of the season, before being recalled by the Red Devils and sent on loan to Norwich.

Unfortunately for the 19-year-old, an injury meant that he was restricted to making just one appearance for the Canaries, but he showed his class in his 21 appearances for Wednesday.

The teenager boasts both attacking quality and defensive solidity, so QPR must seal their move for the Man United youngster before the start of next season.

He made seven senior appearances for the Red Devils in the 2024/25 season, proving how highly rated he is at Old Trafford, while a loan move could prove fruitful for the R's.

Sam Tickle

One of the reasons why QPR's defensive record in 2025/26 was so poor was that Stephan rotated between goalkeepers Nardi, Joe Walsh, and Hamer.

As previously mentioned, both Hamer and Nardi are leaving Loftus Road, while the West Londoners can also find an upgrade on Walsh when they sign a much-needed new goalkeeper.

The answer to the R's' goalkeeping problems could be Wigan Athletic's Sam Tickle, who has been ever-present for the Latics in League One since the beginning of the 2023/24 season.

Tickle is one of the best shot-stoppers in the third tier and is more than capable of bridging the gap to the Championship, making him an attractive option for QPR.

The Latics academy graduate is under contract at the Brick Community Stadium until the summer of 2028, but the Greater Manchester club should not stand in his way if a second-tier outfit come knocking for his signature.

Wigan have been in the League One relegation battle for two consecutive seasons, which is not reflective of Tickle's individual ability, which even saw him notch two assists in the 2025/26 campaign.

Alan Nixon revealed via Patreon in December that Sheffield United had eyed Tickle, but QPR should beat the Blades to signing the 24-year-old to solve their goalkeeping issues.
