2026 Women's AFCON: 32 Lionesses called up to represent Morocco
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced on Sunday that the national women's team will enter a training camp starting Monday, February 23. This move marks a crucial stage in preparations for the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, which the Kingdom will host from March 17 to April 3, 2026.
The Lionesses are holding this camp at the Mohammed VI Complex in Maâmora. After reaching the final in the previous two editions, the players are determined this time to capitalize on every home advantage and the support of their fans.
During this closed training camp, coach Jorge Vilda Rodriguez has called up an extended squad of 32 players.
Morocco is also expected to play two friendly matches against Burkina Faso, according to the president of the Burkinabé Football Federation.The draw placed the host nation in Group A alongside Algeria, Senegal and Kenya.
