Burkina Faso made no half measures against Djibouti on Friday night, delivering a resounding 6-0 victory.

This Friday, the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup continued in the Africa zone. In Group A, Burkina Faso outclassed Djibouti (6-0), temporarily closing the gap to just 2 points behind Egypt, who still top the group. In Group C, Benin edged past Zimbabwe (1-0), while group leaders South Africa dominated Lesotho (3-0).

In Group E, Congo and Tanzania could not be separated (1-1). Finally, Uganda demolished Mozambique (4-0) in Group G to move closer to Algeria, who maintain a 6-point lead.
