Liam Rosenior has had a lot of laughs at his expensive since becoming Chelsea manager, and he knows it.

His unusual style, his “Linked In” quotes and team talks which have surfaced, his overall lack of experience. He’s had to rise about it all, and the worst was still to come. On Tuesday night he failed to control a ball that dropped over the touchline into his technical area, toeing it into the stands.

“The lads have played it back to me on the video and we’ve had a laugh about it,” Rosenior said of the incident.

“Estevao said he can’t believe that I was a professional footballer,” he followed up with a smile.

“You have to enjoy life. You have to be able to laugh at yourself. At the moment, a lot of people in this country have been laughing at me.”

Rosenior may be hoping for another ball to drop near the touchline so he can make amends too…
