Board member for sport Markus Krösche: “We made fewer mistakes, defended better, fashioned the goals nicely and sat a bit deeper. That helps to make the team stable. The boys who came on did well. It’s a step in the right direction.”

Head coach Adi Hütter: “It’s a strong statement from the team after the justified criticism last week. A very good team performance. The crucial point was definitely just before the break with the penalty save from Noah Atubolu and the goal from Jonny Burkardt. It’s a very important win for us and for our fans.” 

Can Uzun: “We produced a great performance and showed over 90 minutes what we only managed for one half last week. There was too much negative talk about us after the last match for my liking, and we wanted to show today that we didn’t deserve that. I’ve scored better goals before but when my team-mates set me up like that, I’m happy to score those types of goals too. The coach gives me the confidence and I try to repay it. I hope we maintain this momentum.”
