Defender was keen to leave the Hammers following relegation
Aston Villa have signed defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka on a season-long loan from West Ham.
The 28-year-old right-back joins Villa as the club continue to reshape their squad following a number of high-profile departures during the summer transfer window.
The agreement includes an obligation for the move to become permanent if certain conditions are met
Wan-Bissaka, who represented the Democratic Republic of Congo at the World Cup, will provide competition for Matty Cash at right-back
Villa have been active in the transfer market as they prepare for a new campaign, with manager Unai Emery looking to strengthen his options after several key players moved closer to the exit.
England defender Ezri Konsa is expected to be the next major departure, with Arsenal set to announce the £55m signing of the centre-back.
There is also continued uncertainty surrounding the futures of striker Ollie Watkins and goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, with both players attracting interest.
Wan-Bissaka's arrival gives Villa added depth in defence and brings significant Premier League experience to Emery's squad.
The former Manchester United and Crystal Palace defender will now look to establish himself at Villa Park and challenge Cash for a regular place in the starting line-up as the club adjust to a summer of significant change.
