Rennes visit Auxerre on Sunday at 15:00 for matchweek 23, Franck Haise’s first game, with Abdelhamid Aït-Boudlal back but Przemyslaw Frankowski, Jérémy Jacquet, Glen Kamara and Alidu Seidu unavailable, L'Équipe reports.

Haise replaced Habib Beye in midweek and, three days into the job, held his second press conference on Friday.

Aït-Boudlal has overcome a hamstring problem, trained with the group in the last two sessions and could return to the starting XI. He made his Ligue 1 debut in August 2025. Jacquet has a shoulder issue, Kamara a sprain, Frankowski a calf problem and Seidu a muscular complaint.

Known for favouring a back three, Haise is still weighing his set-up. A back four in a 4-2-3-1 worked in the 3-1 win over Paris-SG last week. He said he may adjust one or two positions but is not planning sweeping changes at this early stage.

What will not change is the captaincy. Valentin Rongier will keep the armband, after a one-to-one on Thursday in which he said Haise confirmed him in the role.
