The two titans of Milan, AC Milan and Inter, are reportedly setting their sights on a shared transfer target: Oumar Solet, the commanding central defender from Udinese. The 25-year-old, who holds French and Ivorian citizenship and has Central African heritage, has emerged as one of the most consistent and reliable performers in Serie A this campaign. His commanding form has naturally put him on the radar of Italy's most successful clubs.
Solet has become the undeniable cornerstone of the Friulian side's backline. His game is defined by a formidable presence in one-on-one challenges, explosive speed when launching attacks from the back, and a versatile skillset that allows him to slot seamlessly into any position within a three-man defense. Beyond his physical attributes, he brings sought-after intangibles to the pitch, including natural leadership qualities and an exceptional understanding of the game.
However, despite the growing buzz around his name in the corridors of San Siro, any potential transfer is currently on hold. A significant complicating factor is an ongoing investigation by the Udine public prosecutor's office. The probe relates to allegations of sexual assault made against the player. This unresolved legal situation is forcing both Milanese clubs to adopt a wait-and-see approach, putting any concrete bid on standby until the matter is clarified.
