AC Milan have established contact to sign Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku (27) before the end of the summer transfer window, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano. The 27-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge and is expected to leave the West London club before the window slams shut.

Milan are looking to bolster their attacking options in the time that remains of the transfer window. Nkunku is a name that has been mentioned in recent hours by the Serie A outfit’s management as they explore their options. The France international is open to leaving the Blues, Romano understands.
