France’s Supreme Court has upheld the decision to send Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi to trial over an allegation of rape in 2023, leaving him with no further avenue of appeal.
According to Superdeporte, the highest court rejected an appeal filed by the Morocco international’s lawyers against a ruling of the Versailles Court of Appeal.

That ruling was issued on 19 June, during the World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
A young woman accused Hakimi of raping her after she went to his home in Boulogne-Billancourt, on the outskirts of Paris.
Hakimi has always denied the allegation.
