Adelgaard caps flying start as Go Ahead Eagles climb to 11th | OneFootball

Go Ahead Eagles swept aside PEC Zwolle 5-0 at De Adelaarshorst to rise from 13th to 11th in the Eredivisie.

In the fourth minute, Stefán Sigurðarson glanced in a header from Aske Adelgaard's cross. Moments later, Soren Tengstedt drilled in from distance after a fast break (7.), before Victor Edvardsen tucked in a third from another Alfons Sampsted delivery (15.).

After the restart, Adelgaard rifled into the top corner from outside the box (56.). Substitute Evert Linthorst then teed up Mathis Suray to sweep home (63.) just minutes after coming on.

The Supereagles were ruthless in front of goal, registering 12 shots on target from 15 attempts. Zwolle mustered one effort on target from 16 attempts.

Tom de Graaff made six saves to limit further damage for the visitors. Jari de Busser kept a clean sheet for the hosts.
