Adidas have made an offer to Santos to replace Umbro as the club’s kit supplier.
According to Globo.com, the proposal is being viewed positively within the club, and Umbro have a period to match the figures presented by the German company.
Umbro’s current deal with Santos runs until the end of 2027. The brand returned in 2018, having previously partnered with the club from 1997 to 2011.
Last week Umbro unveiled the new third kit, inspired by the 1997 team that won the Torneio Rio-São Paulo.
Recently, Santos placed an image of Pelé on the shirt in place of the supplier’s logo. The initiative marked the start of a partnership between the club, Umbro and NR Sports, the company owned by Neymar’s father which bought the Pelé brand at the end of last year.
