Remo without Zé Ivaldo and Patrick for Santos clash due to R$ 4 million clause | OneFootball

Remo are set to be without Zé Ivaldo and Patrick for the visit of Santos on Saturday 19, with fielding either player incurring a combined R$ 4 million penalty. According to Diario Do Peixe, each clause is R$ 2 million and both are on loan from Santos until the end of the season. The fixture, part of the 28th round of the Brasileirão, kicks off at 18:30 at Mangueirão.

Out of favour at the Alvinegro, Patrick joined the Leão Azul on loan in January. He took time to establish himself but has started recent matches, recording 27 appearances and one goal. With his Santos deal expiring at the end of the year, he is expected to become a free agent after the loan.

Zé Ivaldo was sidelined by Santos after the squad returned from the World Cup break, then trained apart before signing for Remo in July. He has featured five times for the Pará club since arriving.

Earlier this year he played 12 games for Santos, five in the Brasileirão and seven in the Paulista. Last season he made 34 appearances for the club, scoring once, with 17 in the league, 12 in the Paulista and two in the Copa do Brasil.

The Maceió-born defender, 29, came through at CRB in 2014 and turned professional with Athletico-PR the following year, spending eight seasons there. He also had loan spells at Vitória in 2019 and Cruzeiro in 2022.
